Hello, my name is Marisa and I am the owner of Divine You Yoga.
Health and wellbeing and its strong connection with how it influences what we feel and think has always been a deep interest of mine. Having practiced more of the physical side of yoga and various other fitness regimes in my twenties, I decided to delve deeper in my thirties so that I could understand more about how this ancient practice of Yoga with its bountiful array of methods and tools for the body, mind and soul, could help me to live with a greater sense of peace and understanding, especially now as a mother of three young boys!
My passion for Pilates also came during this investigative time, as I began to learn more about the body and how much we really can affect and change our bodies and our minds, if we have the right tools. Pilates provides fantastic methods for our bodies and minds to enhance our daily functions and our posture.
For me, sharing Yoga and Pilates classes is a creative process, as much as it is a time and space to move and explore.
I have also just recently gone back to studying, following my heart and the why about our bodies a little more deeply, as a part time student of Osteopathy at RMIT University. Here is to the next six years of self discovery in a different way! Always and forever a student, I hope to bring this learning to my classes, sharing my new knowledge and insights.
"Thank you personally for the yoga sessions you held in Ivanhoe Library from September to December this year. It was a pleasure to have you as a volunteer tutor and your approach throughout was completely professional. We had very good feedback from members of the public about the quality of your teaching and the way you addressed any health concerns."

"U3A Banyule is very appreciative of Marisa’s generosity in offering a six-week course of Yoga Nidra – Gentle Flow classes, as a volunteer tutor in November/December 2019. Our members can range in age from 55 to 90 years and have varying health challenges. The class introduced our members to the practice of meditation which members reported as producing a beautiful calming effect. A gentler, less demanding form of yoga suited members who had undergone knee replacements. Thank you Marisa and you are welcome back anytime!"
